1) Q. Do you have any puppies for sale?

    A. We breed on a very limited basis. Before inquiring about puppies, older dogs, rescues or

re-homes please CLICK HERE. All available dogs are to be found on that page.

2) Q. Are you able to ship puppies/dogs?

    A. If necessary, we can ship via airlines. We prefer Delta or Continental out of George Bush

Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH) Please be aware that no air shipment can be

allowed in extreme temperatures.  Depending on our show schedules, ground

         transportation may be an option.

3) Q. I was told at the pet store that Siberians don't shed, is this true?

     A. No, It seems the pet store was uninformed or just giving you a line to make a sale. You

would not believe the amount of hair that can come off a 40 pound dog! Siberians will shed

heavily once or twice a year, depending on climate and light conditions. The undercoat will

begin to loosen and take on a tufted appearance. Once this occurs the hair comes out in

tremendous amounts. Regular brushing & force drying can help keep the majority of the

hair off the floor and out of your dinner.

4) Q. I got my Siberian from the pound. Her eyes are clear blue. Does this mean she's

         purebred?

    A. No, there many breeds other than Siberians that can have blue or partly blue eyes. Eye

color is no guarantee of her lineage. Whereas blue eyes are not uncommon in purebred

Siberians, their eyes can also be brown, amber, parti-color or even bi-eyed.

5) Q. I was told that Red Siberians are very rare and cost more than other colors. What

should I pay for a Red?

    A. Red is in no way rare in Siberian Huskies. The coat color in and of itself is unimportant in

the Breed's Standard. You should never pay more than the cost of any other pet or show

quality dog out of the litter.

6) Q. I live in the Southern US is the weather too hot for me to have a Siberian Husky?

     A. No, the Siberian's coat acts as an insulator. It protects the dog from heat, as well as cold.

You  should not shave a  Siberian's coat in the summer. It leaves them susceptible to

sunburn and skin cancer. As with any breed of dog, they  should be provided with

adequate shade and water, when outside, in hot climates.

7) Q. Do you only breed show dogs and what's the difference in a pet dog and one for

         show?

    A. We breed dogs to conform to the AKC standard as defined by the Siberian Husky Club of

America.  They are often entered in Conformation Shows, so yes, they are show dogs.

However, we also want to produce dogs that still have the drive to be in harness as well as

delightful dispositions. Even with a carefully planned breeding, not all pups will be of "show"

quality and they are placed in responsible pet homes on neuter contracts. A pet may have

some minor fault like tall ears or round eyes which are not desirable. It's not anything a pet

owner would notice and the pup is still of very good quality, just not to be shown or bred.

8) Q. I have a Husky who is about 2 years old and I got him from the humane society and I

was  wondering if their was anyway to get papers on him so that I could breed him

with my AKC registered Husky and have their pups be pedigree puppies?

     A. Most shelters require that dogs obtained from them be neutered. Check your written

agreement to see if you are violating  the terms of adopting the animal. Additionally, the

AKC will not provide registration certificates for dogs adopted from any type of Humane

Society or Rescue Organization. If a dog is turned over to a Shelter with papers, AKC will

not transfer them to the new owner. Any dogs without papers are of unknown ancestry

and therefore any puppies bred would be denied AKC registration.

9) Q. I represent a Non-Profit Organization and we are asking for your support of our

Charity.  Will you please consider helping  with the donation one of your Siberian

Husky puppies to our Gala Benefit Auction ?

    A. Whereas we admire your efforts to raise money for a worthy cause, we do not condone the

auctioning of dogs. Most often persons bidding at charity functions are simply interested in

supporting the cause rather than in providing a good home for a canine companion.

Puppies won at auctions or in raffles frequently get passed from home to home or end up

in the shelter.  We abide by and fully support The American Kennel Club’s Humane

Policy that calls for suspended privileges of any breeder who donates an AKC

Registered dog or puppy to a raffle or auction.

10) Q. How do I stop my Siberian Husky from digging holes in my back yard?

    A. Frankly, digging is a natural instinct. The best answer we found is to provide a separate

yard or  fenced area where your dog can work off boredom or hunt the small bugs or

creatures they hear underground. Many times holes are dug to provide a cool spot to rest.

If you can't divide off part of  your yard for the dogs, try placing the dog's own stool in the

hole, cover it with some dirt & it usually  discourages the digging. Be warned you'll still have

        new holes to fill later.

11) Q. If I get my Siberian as a puppy, can I train it not to do all the things that are

unwanted, like digging, running away and chasing the cat?

      A. Instinctual or innate behavior is very difficult to modify. Most people, who go into Siberian

ownership with the idea that an animal can be taught to do or not do anything as long as

it's young, are generally the same people who label Siberians as dumb. They end up

giving them away or surrendering them to shelters or pounds. Certainly, any companion

animal needs to be given the training to make it part of your family. However, if you are

unwilling make adjustments in your life, accept the bad with the good & provide adequate

fencing, please don't get a Siberian Husky.

12) Q. May I just call you on the phone? There is so much information, I just don’t have

time to read it all and I only have a few questions.

      A. We endeavor to present the breed information in a concise format.  If you are a

prospective new owner, there is much to learn about any breed that you are considering

as a companion.  We always welcome calls from those persons interested in the breed.

However, if you have not the time to invest, in the research, it is unlikely the you will have

enough time to devote to having a Siberian Husky.

13) Q. I want to purchase a top quality dog.  However, I do have a budget.  I’d like to be

able to pay over time.  Do you accept Visa, MasterCard or Pay Pal?

      A. Often, sites that prominently display the acceptance of Credit Cards are not doing so as a

convenience for buyer, Its usually a sign of a commercial breeding business with more

interest in getting your money, than providing a quality pet to qualified owners.

We happily accept reservations for upcoming litters. We do not require or accept

deposits.  We do not charge interest or processing fees. If a potential owner has no

further interest in the litter,  we simply ask to be notified.  As with most reputable breeders,

if we have the puppy or dog that is right for you, we gladly work out payment terms.

14) Q. I got a Siberian puppy for my birthday. But, I really wanted a different color.  Will

you be having puppies? Can you trade me so I can have a blue eyed one?

       A. If your puppy came from a reputable breeder, who has a “come back home” policy, they’ll

want it to take it back. We suggest you contact them as soon as possible.  I am sad to

say,  we are unable to take your puppy as we know nothing of the pedigree, health or

temperament.  When we place a dog, we guarantee it. It would be impossible for

us to place your puppy with any type of assurance to the new owner.

15) Q. Will you buy my Husky. I have to move and can’t take my him. He has papers &

isn’t neutered so you could breed him.

      A.  Sorry, your dog’s pedigree is not compatible with our lines. Additionally, we could not

recommend breeding him as there are no sled, show or obedience titled dogs in the

pedigree. Moreover, none of the dogs have any health clearances of any type.  We

realize you are unable to locate the person you purchased from, if you like we can offer a

rescue referral if you are unable to find a suitable pet home for him.
